FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers — no sales spin.
What type of businesses does Alderstack work with?
- Mainly UK SMEs, startups, and growing teams — businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets, manual processes, or off-the-shelf tools but are not ready to hire a full in-house engineering team. Trades, service companies, consultancies, and early-stage product businesses are a common fit.
Can you build a custom dashboard or internal system?
- Yes — this is core work for us. Admin dashboards, internal tools, reporting panels, and workflow systems that replace spreadsheet-based operations are among the most common projects we take on.
Do you work with existing websites or apps?
- Yes. We can take on existing projects that need bug fixes, new features, integrations, performance improvements, or a proper cloud deployment setup. We will be honest if the existing codebase needs significant rework before it is worth extending.
Will we own the source code?
- Yes. You own the code we write for your project. On completion you receive full repository access, documentation, and a handover walkthrough. We do not retain ownership or charge ongoing licence fees for your application.
Do you provide support after launch?
- Yes. Post-launch support is available for bug fixes, small improvements, and guidance as your system evolves. Support can be arranged as an ongoing agreement or on an ad-hoc basis — we will discuss what makes sense for your project during scoping.
How does the project process work?
- It starts with a free discovery call to understand your situation. If it is a good fit, we put together a clear scope with timeline and cost. We then build in stages with regular demos so you can see progress and give feedback. The project ends with deployment, documentation, and handover — with support available after that.
Can you help with cloud deployment?
- Yes. We set up cloud hosting, deployment pipelines, staging and production environments, backups, and basic monitoring. This can be part of a new build or a standalone engagement if you have an existing application that needs proper infrastructure.
How do we get started?
- Send a project enquiry through our contact form or book a free discovery call. Tell us what you are dealing with — you do not need a technical specification. We aim to respond within one to two business days and will let you know honestly whether we are the right fit.
